Testimony: Gave my life to Christ as a teenager at Spring Hill Camp but really didn’t know it (found it in my bible later in life). But the seed was planted and taking root. Went to church through high school, but it was not a part of my or my family’s life or lifestyle. Didn’t attend church during college. After Susan and I got married, we were invited to Eastern Avenue Church and began going there. The seed was sprouting, but the relationship with Christ was still not there. This continued at Ridgewood CRC when we moved to Hudsonville. When our kids started complaining about church, we started looking again. Friends invited us to Daybreak and finally the seed took root. Not just in Susan and I, but in our kids as well. My faith grew and I began to build a relationship with Christ through main service, relationships made in small groups and serving with student ministries and NTS Camp. I don’t have a date and time, but gave my life fully to Christ 2006 and Susan and I got baptized together in Lake Michigan in 2008.

Where I currently serve at Daybreak: Elder, Leader of the Usher team, Prayer Partner

Testimony: I grew up in the Christian Reformed Church, attending church every Sunday. When I left home for college, I believed I didn’t need the church and could follow God on my own. I was able to meet all the goals I had set for myself at that time, but there was always something missing.  Once Kyle was born, we decided we needed to raise him in a church, so we started attending Daybreak. Shortly after that I started serving and got connected to a small group. A few years later I was baptized and became a member. That’s when the devil started attacking our family. We lost our home, the bank account was in the negative, and I almost gave up on our marriage. It was during those tough times that I truly realized how much I needed Christ and how much He was waiting for me. I turned everything over to God - my marriage, my kids, my job. I could only make it through if I truly trusted Him and obeyed Him. So much good has come out of those really tough times and I have not gone a day without thanking God for everything He has done for me and my family.

Testimony: I was raised in a home that left me fighting against the criticisms of my childhood & tirelessly striving to gain approval.  My efforts to overcome were unsuccessful until a friend invited me to Daybreak where I learned that I am a child of God who loves me & is pleased with me (Mathew 3:17).  So, I surrendered my life to God who has transformed every aspect of my life.  I proclaimed my faith to God through baptism on Feb 15, 2015.  Today, I am able to live free with a restored heart, peace & joy because in God, I have a Father who always listens, guides, protects, forgives, and walks through life with me.
